CONDITIONS WE TREAT:

Fever

The first thing to know about fever is that it is a symptom rather than a condition. A high fever can be a sign that the body is fighting some other ailment. Generally speaking a fever isn't a problem until it hits 103°, however age and overall health play a role in whether or not you should see the doctor. If you have a high fever accompanied by other symptoms, it is recommended you visit the ERgent Care Center immediately. Our doctors will be able to diagnose the underlying problem, treating it as well as your fever.

Headaches

Many people get the occasional headache from time to time, however there are instances when a headache may require medical treatment. Pleurisy

The symptoms of pleurisy are similar to those of pneumonia, in particular chest pain that worstens while coughing, sneezing, or breathing. Shortness of breath is also quite common with pleurisy. This condition happens when the inner lining between the chest cavity and the lungs becomes inflamed. Any time you experience sharp chest pain you should consult a physician. Pneumonia

Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs which can cause inflammation and fluid build up. The symptoms of pneumonia are similar to those of the flu and often patients recovering from the flu can contract pneumonia without realizing it. Symptoms include: chest pain when breathing or coughing, excessive coughing, fatigue, fever, sweating and shaking chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, shortness of breath or lower-than-normal body temperature. Upper Respiratory Infections

Upper respiratory infections represent a variety of acute illnesses or complications that are most often caused by a secondary infection to a rhinovirus or influenza. Since it seldom makes a difference in the treatment regimen, identification* of the specific viral cause is not usually necessary. Symptomatic support usually depends upon the location of the subsequent infection. In some cases, influenza may be suspected due to the time of year or a recent outbreak of flu in the area, our physician will order a flu test and antiviral medications may be prescribed. Your doctor can diagnose whether you have a cold or influenza. He or she may order a throat culture or blood count, to determine the severity of the condition and identify other problems. If your physician suspects that your upper respiratory infection has spread to your lungs, an x-ray may be needed to check for pleurisy or pneumonia.

Urinary Tract Infections

Urinary tract infections, or UTIs, are quite common and easily treatable if diagnosed early. A professional diagnosis will be required as a prescription for antibiotics is necessary to treat this bacterial infection. If left untreated the infection can spread to the kidneys at which point oral antibiotics will not be effective. Don't wait, visit our urgent care clinic now to treat your urinary tract infection.

Been dealing with a sinus infection for a few days. Went in on Saturday morning at 10am and was seen and out within 30 minutes. Got a Rx and I seem to be on the mend. This day's experience was a very good and productive one.
