Are we an emergency room?

We are NOT an emergency room, but we do provide services late into the evening and weekends.  Since we bill your insurance as an Urgent Care, we are less expensive than a comparable emergency room visit.  Our self pay rates are also much lower and affordable than that of an Emergency Room.

What is the difference between an emergency room and an urgent care?

Emergency Rooms can provide some additional services compared to an Urgent Care, generally in the area of life threatening illnesses or injuries, and are open 24 hours a day.  If you are experiencing a life threatening illness, it is important to go to your closest hospital Emergency Room or call 9-1-1.  If you are experiencing an illness that can be treated at an Urgent Care, you will be able to receive a high level of care faster than an Emergency Room, and at a lower cost whether you have insurance or are a self pay patient.

Was dreading going to an urgent care office. The ones I've been to have always been dirty, busy and understaffed. Chose Ergent Care because they have access to my medical record. Waiting area was clean, front desk was courteous, back office was clean, polite and fast. Will def go back if the need arises.
